Medicare Advantage Telemarketing Leads

What the telemarketing lead companies don't want you to know.

How do telemarketing lead outfits actually get those appointments. Think about it. Most of the folks not the Federal Do Not Call List are folks who are not technically savvy and have not figured out how to get on the list. This pool of people has evaporated over the past few years, with fewer and fewer people available to call.

These few people are literally bombarded with calls! Especially in the weeks and months preceding the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. So what do you think, that these people are sitting by their phones, waiting for Medicare appointment centers to call them and schedule an appointment for some agent to come to their homes? Not a chance.

I am ashamed to say, I used to work these kinds of leads. The truth is, VERY FEW of these people even remembered I was coming. Usually they would say things like, "well, I think somebody called, but I never made an appointment." Was I able to help some of these people? Sure. But think about it.

The entire scheme amounts to "door knocking" which is illegal. Door knocking is knocking on doors and offering Medicare Insurance is against the law. It is good law that protects the vulnerable. Going on an appointment where people don't even know you are coming is door knocking, pure and simple.

Many telemarketing lead companies are lying outright, telling agents they can still legally work those appointments. The fact is, most of these appointments were always illegal (door knocking is always illegal).

It's kind of funny, some of the companies are now attempting to redefine the lead process. These compaines claim they are no longer doing Medicare Advantage appointments, but now they are doing "Medicare Supplement" appointments and "review" appointments.

Do you remember the story of the "Emperor With No Clothes." These dishonest companies are accustomed to calling "darkness" -- "light." They can call these illegal leads and appointments anything they desire, but at the end of the day, I have some advice. Don't do it.

If you desire to build an honest, respectable business, there are many other ways to identify and work with leads who actually want to see you, who really do want your help.
